Msia's version of "On The Way".

This is dedicated to the phrase "On The Way".

in plain simple english, on the way means... "on.the.way."
as in... u should be literally.. moving from a point A to point B.

in Malaysia however, on the way tends to mean:-

a) at home

b) just woke up

c) taking a shower

d) still doing make up

e) eating dinner

f) not quite done making out

g) many other activities which arent even related to their "on the way".

"on the way" requires a form of JOURNEY. as in... bergerak. movement. travel.
so u c.. the msian concept of on the way is slightly different. slightly la u knw.

this leads to the next bit.
Punctuality.

im not generalising all malaysians.
but 99% of msians will agree that we are hardly ever.. or never.. on time.
in japan, if ur a minit late for a meeting, the client withdraws his account.
in msia, probably if ur 5 minits late, no one else has arrived yet.

success.

an example.
u have a gathering set at 7pm.

here's the breakdown.

7.00pm - no ones car has even reached the plc yet. some are still carrying out their "on the way" activities.
but there are still 1 or 2 outa 200 ppl who are REALLY punctual.lets give them some credit.
so they'll reach there at 7 sharp. n stone. make many many calls goin "Where u laaa?".

7.15pm- the "considerably punctual" souls have arrived. now theres half the group standing outside in the middle of somewhere waiting for the remaining half.

7.30pm- 3/4 of the group SHOULD .. keyword "should" have arrived.

8.00pm- everyones there.

hence, if u want a group of msians to be at a plc at say, 7pm, tell them the dinner is at 6.30 or 6.00 pm.

if not, u will be standing there alone. making many calls.
dont bother denying it la.
this bit about msians is rely a "1 malaysia" thing.

kthxbye.
